First of all the museum has to renovate it’s permanent collection, buildings and administration, which at the same time structural professionalism in the organization is necessary. And in the second part to restore the first historical north building to its previous construction with proper conditional environment for a museum collection, which was neglected due to financial limitations.
To start with the renovation the Museum Puri Lukisan received a donation of money with an amount of Rp.25.000.000 from Pienke Kal, Chairwoman of the Dutch counterpart of Rudolf Bonnet Foundation in Amsterdam. Besides this donation the museum also received the same amount of Rp.25.000.000 from Tjokorda Gde Putra Sukawati (first son of Tjokorda Gde Agung Sukawati) as Chairman of Ratna Wartha Foundation.
To cover the whole renovation-amount in continuing the plans the museum needs more funds, which should be raised from several commercial business concerns, and governmental institutions and organizations both in Indonesia as well in Holland.
