Taksu at Museum Puri Lukisan Ubud
During three months, thirty-one of the foremost Balinese traditional painters will expose more than
 
 
sixty examples of their contemporary works of art during the annual Kebiar Seni 2001 which takes place at the Exhibition Building of The Museum Puri Lukisan in Ubud from July 7 until October 7, 2001.
 
The theme of this annual event is Taksu, the Balinese word for charisma or a gifted person. A gift that can be assimilated to inherited talent. It is a stable element, yet inseparable from the character that can be found in their paintings.
 
It is the continuous powerful style and expressiveness of each individual painter that the organizers tried to show. Without these merits the Kebiar Seni could not have existed as it has for the past six years.
